L'Oreal Colour Trophy 2018

Local barbers from Barbers OF BT45 in Magherafelt have made it through the first round and into the semi-finals of the L’Oréal Colour Trophy STAR Award 2018. One of only five young hairdressers in the Northern Irish Region], Barbers OF BT45 will now compete at the L'Oréal Colour Trophy Regional Semi- Final event to be held on Monday 23rd April 2018 at the Hastings Europa Hotel.
During the first round, hundreds of photographic images from across the country were judged by the most influential names in hairdressing, including British Hairdresser of the Year Sally Brooks, Charlotte Mensah, Jamie Stevens, leading session stylist & press favourite Adam Reed as well as hairdressing icons Errol Douglas MBE and Charles Worthington MBE. Barbers Of BT45 fought off stiff competition and were successfully chosen to go through to the next round of the competition – the Regional Semi- Finals.
“We were delighted to be only 1 of 5 salons selected this year to represent Northern Ireland. We had an extremely busy 2017 with the opening of our second salon, our new academy and the release of our product line that we neglected the competition scene last year and decided this year to hit it will full force! ”
This next stage of the competition will put Barbers OF BT45 through their paces as they will now create a live model of their colour work and have just 30 minutes to style their model in front of the judges and be interviewed about their final look. This leaves them just one step away from scooping the unparalleled prize of national media exposure and much more!
